About me
Hi, I’m Robert.
I’m a developer, builder, and founder. Today, I spend most of my time building my own products, businesses, and online ventures.
My goal is simple: build software and systems that help people work better, move faster, and reduce complexity.
Alongside my own projects, I also help agencies and founders build websites and digital products through my subscription-based service business, Scripts & Styles.
From employee to builder
For more than 15 years, I worked with agencies, companies, and their clients to build websites, digital products, and online businesses.
During that time, I solved complex technical problems, worked under tight deadlines, improved processes and workflows, and learned what it really takes to ship products that people depend on.
It was one of the best educations I could have asked for.
But over time, I realized that building for clients alone wasn’t enough for me.
I wanted to spend more time building my own ideas, creating products I truly believed in, and designing a life with more freedom, ownership, and long-term impact.
That’s what I’m doing today.
What I’m building
Scripts & Styles
My subscription-based development business.
I help agencies, founders, and businesses build better websites with a strong focus on simplicity, ownership, and long-term sustainability.
Themerson
An open design system generator for WordPress Full Site Editing.
Instead of locking users into a specific theme ecosystem, Themerson allows designers, agencies, and freelancers to create their own design systems and export production-ready FSE themes that they fully own and control.
And yes, there are more ideas coming.
What I believe
The products I build and the decisions I make are guided by a few simple principles.
Build for low effort
After more than 15 years in web development, I’ve learned that complexity creates friction.
Even with AI, constant prompting, managing tools, and maintaining systems requires a lot of mental energy.
That’s why I believe in systems that produce professional results with as little effort as possible.
Own what you build
The internet changes fast. Technologies change. Subscription models change. The mental effort required to keep up keeps growing.
Owning your website, your data, and your business assets is one of the few forms of long-term security available online.
That’s why I build products that give people ownership instead of dependency.
It’s also one of the main reasons why I keep coming back to WordPress after all these years.
Freedom matters more than status
I optimize for autonomy, flexibility, and time.
I believe that owning your time is one of the highest forms of freedom. That’s the principle that guides both my life and the products I build.
That’s also why I choose tools and build products that remove as much friction as possible while delivering meaningful results.
Build leverage
I believe software should create leverage for everyone.
The best products remove friction and multiply outcomes. They help people save time, reduce costs, make better decisions, and achieve results that would otherwise require far more effort.
Think long term
I’m not interested in short-term hacks or trends.
I’m building products, systems, and businesses designed to compound over years, not weeks.
AI is powerful, and it can speed up a lot of work. But good results still need clear thinking, strong structure, and solid systems.
That’s why I care about building systems first. A well-built system gives AI better inputs, better context, and better limits. The result is less prompting, less noise, and better output.
